Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson

Margaret covered our Friday show with Real Estate, so I’ve got the Saturday show with Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson and Jeremiah Nelson and the Achilles Heel. I remember, back in 2008 (such a long time ago), I heard his self-titled debut album. It did many things well — Robinson captured the urgency of his lyrics, which match his lyrics about funerals and drinking and other rather sad things. The release had a lot of star power behind it. Kyp Malone of TV On The Radio (producing), and Chris Bear and Dan Rossen of Grizzly Bear (drums and overdubs, respectively) all worked on it. This year’s followup on Saddle Creek, Summer of Fear, had less urgency that his debut, but saw him grow as a songwriter. Check out some of his work below.
