Skybox and What Laura Says with Midwestern Charm

Saturday September 11th 8:30 p.m

Memorial Union Terrace

In an age dripping with irony, Skybox has a refreshing sincerity that reminds us that great pop songs can mean what they say. Skybox is the vehicle of four Chicago musicians that just released their second album “Morning After Cuts” which finds singer Tim Ellis in peak songwriting form, careening effortlessly from Of Montreal glam to Flaming Lips.

What Laura Says is a five piece band from Tempe that exemplifies “Organic, psychedelic, folky/retro rock n roll; beautiful Beatles/Beach Boys-influenced melodies; and just all-around good vibes.”

Midwestern Charm is a Wisconsin foursome that displays it’s love of writing and performing with all the energy and passion its members have to offer.
