Thursday on the Terrace: Aer w/ OCD: Moosh & Twist + Dieter Schaaf

What did you say? You love a relaxed Terrace show with great beats and a chill flow? You’ve come to the right place. This Thursday night at 9, Aer, OCD, and Dieter Schaaf will be holding down The Terrace.

Massachusetts natives David von Mering and Carter Schultz, known as Aer, work to combine a relaxing reggae sound with college-style rap thrown in for some spice. Aer’s “Feel I Bring” video (mp3 available for download below) has a Youtube comment that does an impeccable job of describing Aer as “If Mac Miller and Jack Johnson had three sons…” Aer’s newest EP, What You Need, debuted at the #1 spot on iTunes Hip-Hop charts. Aer has a solid college-aged following, and continues to perform on campuses all over the U.S.

Known as one of the newest young faces of Hip-Hop, OCD consists of Philadelphia’s DeQuincy ‘Moosh’ McRae and Oliver ‘Twist’ Feighan, who are both just recent high school graduates. OCD’s mixtape Up Before The World was received incredibly well, and described by Good Music All Day blog as the following: With sampling of Jerimiah, James Blunt, Usher, Nina Simone, and Journey, production from Darrell Robinson, Ray Holloman, Sketcho, DK, X.Kalibur, Dante CK, and Diloia and the original lyrics from Moosh & Twist, this tape seems like it is one of the best of 2011.” With over 140,000 plays on Last.fm, this driven duo is set to spread quickly from the East Coast to the rest of the world in little to no time.

Dieter Schaaf, a UW Madison student, is ready to open for these two electric Hip-Hop groups. His crispy Hip Hop beats and summery melodies will radiate wonderfully throughout the Terrace. Catch him when the show starts at 9 p.m.!
