The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt have been described as eccentric, but that’s only just scratching the service. Brooklynn’s TPDR have signed with David Byrne’s Luakabop Records. Their lead singer Neal Fridd dresses in a stuffed animal suit while there is a communal costume box for the crowd to pick from. Quiet Color said, ” In a world where bands have been taking themselves seriously for far too long, this show gave me hope that the people can be unabashedly silly and passionately serious at the same time.” TPDR includes the lead singer who is joined by 10 or so other bandmates, who as the NYTimes said, ” pitch in with everything from singing to rescuing musical instruments from the trash.” TPDR will be releasing their first full-lengh album digitally at the end of february, it has a name so long I will take up space to write it. This show may confuse those people who take themselves to seriously but it’s perfect those who know how to just let loose and get crazy.

The Shakes will be touring with TPDR throughout the spring adding to their antics. One critic said that they are “a fantastic organ-driven rockabilly punk band…that croon and swoon and play awesome Sam Cooke covers.”
